Call and Response was a semester-long project exploring the integration of auditory and visual space. Visual artist Alex Julyan and composer Stephen Montague joined faculty and students in the Moores School of Music and the Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture and Design for a site-specific collaboration. While Julyan worked with architecture students to build a sculptural installation in the atrium of the architecture building, Montague and MSM students composed music in tandem to the construction process, inviting student musicians and composers to participate in a weekly concert series.
